The most wonderful time of the year?
Dec 20, 2019 Season 1 Episode 9
Liverpool City Council

It’s a time of year we associate with happiness, over-indulgence, family and friends.

But for a large number of people, it’s anything but a magical time, and can feel like the loneliest time of the year.

Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity, found:

  • One in ten people feel unable to cope at Christmas and this figure triples if people already experience mental health problems.
  • One in twenty people consider taking their own life as a direct result of the festive period.

We talk to three people about mental health and asking them advice on how people can cope this Christmas and in to the New Year.

Presenter: Sarah Latcham

Panellists: Sally Laws who delivers mindfulness training,  Daniel Robinson who founded Peloton Liverpool and Jake Mills, founder of Chasing the Stigma

Producer: Ed Leigh

Editors: Sarah Latcham, Niall Walsh

Recording Location: Cunard Building, Liverpool
